Dr Alan Wittgrove Dr Alan Wittgrove
Dr. Wittgrove pioneered the laparoscopic approach of gastric bypass surgery, performing the first laparoscopic gastric bypass as primary surgeon in the world, in 1993. He and his program have performed over five-thousand bariatric procedures.
Professor Wei-Jei Lee Professor Wei-Jei Lee
A leading gastric bypass surgeon and Professor of Surgery at National Taiwan University, Professor Lee leads in the development and diversity of bariatric surgery in Taiwan. Performing a broad range of surgical procedures, Dr Lee will talk about his lap mini-gastric bypass results and adapting the procedure for people with different body weights.
Susan Colles Susan Colles
Ms Susan Colles is an experienced dietician who is currently completing a PhD at the Monash University Centre for Obesity Research and Education. Her doctoral thesis has explored eating patterns associated with obesity and psychological distress. In particular Susie’s work has focussed on pre- and post-operative dietary and behavioural management of the bariatric surgery patient.
